sun light and sky light are my go to! I have also a photobiomodulation device helping me to be less anxious, better HRV, better sleep and great wake up...

Hi Nick. Is this something that has particular benefits for APOE4/4 individuals or does it generally affect people of all genetics equally? The machine is quite a large outlay but if it has the potential to delay the onset of Alzheimer’s disease it would be a great investment. As one of the many APOE4/4s subscribing to this wonderful journal here I would love here your latest thoughts on preventing AD if you are APOE4 homozygous. It has been a while since your paper on this was published. Any update would be wonderful. For example, does high dose DHA work - it appears Prof Yassine suggests not. Thanks Nick.

I cannot honestly say I have any reason to believe this would provide specific benefit for ApoE4/4s. Sorry :(.

The omega-6/3 analogy works for me.

Glad it landed :)

Hello again NIck. Which of the stands do you recommend with the Inferno to get the best results? Or does it work just fine if hung on the wall? Thanks for your help.

If you have a solid door, it hangs just fine. I have the $600 stand, but honestly that's because they sent it free and I don't have a good door for it in my new appartment.

Nick thank you for doing this great post. I’m very curious about this but find it confusing and you made it simple. What’s wrong with just using daylight? Why do we need the devices? I heard a light scientist ( who did the glucose tolerance test / light study) say when you test products most don’t emit the light they say they do on the packet. Is your promoted product a good one?

If you can access daylight where you are, that's the best. Bear in mind, windows will block a lot of the red and infrared. But if you can get outside and get natural light for a decent percent of the day, can't beat that! Re my promoted product, yes. It's on the pricer end, admittedly. But this is one of those matters where you get what you pay for, like EVOO. Based on my product review and also word of mouth, EMR-TeK is top.

Very curious to see the results of this n=1 red light experiment Nick! I tried red light therapy for a while on a knee issue I'm dealing with and didn't have much success, but I also can't afford the higher dollar devices so while the manufacturer states the correct wavelengths in their description, who knows?

I do still use it on my face/eyes a few times a week since I'm a developer and have had perfect eyesight all my life and want it to remain so. Thanks as always!

Unfortunately, I think to get a red light device that would actually work it's going to cost more. One of those thinks for which there isn't a great cheap option. By analogy, if you see an extra virgin olive oil for $8 for 500mL, it's definitely not.

Yea, kinda what I assumed. I'll wait for your test results to consider a better option. (And a raise!)

Totally fair!

I bought an infraredi red light panel about 3 years ago because I wanted it to help with DOMS - it didn’t! However, my Fitbit told me that it improved my deficient REM sleep back up to normal, whilst keeping my deep sleep unchanged at the high normal it started at. I also stare at the lights for a few minutes a few days a week and I still don’t have reading glasses at 55yrs! I do wear contacts and have kept one eye underpowered, so maybe it’s that! I’ve recently watched YouTube videos of Dr Glen Jeffery explaining the benefits of red light therapy for eye health and note that he said it had to be in the morning and that 3 minutes was enough (actually less time was enough but he says people always cheat, so 3 minutes allowed for that!). He says he can’t do anything for your mitochondria in the evening- with regard to eyes. I wonder if that is true for all its benefits?
